Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Wombat Tech (“we”) operates the website wombattech.net, the web applications Nivelar, LaVeoEn and LoLeoEn, and mobile games published under the same name. This policy describes what data each of them handles.

Scope

  • wombattech.net — the studio site. It has no forms, no accounts and no analytics; the only contact channel is an email address.
  • Nivelar, LaVeoEn and LoLeoEn — the web applications, covered in the section below.
  • Dope Wars 1943 and the other mobile games — distributed through Google Play and the App Store.

Web applications

  • Nivelar — an account identifies a student by a username and their practice history. No real name, email address or telephone number is required from a minor in order to use it. Contact details are held only for teachers and coordinators who request access for a school. Progress is visible to the student, and to their teacher and family through the school’s account.
  • LaVeoEn — operates without an account. Searches are resolved against catalogue data provided by JustWatch.
  • LoLeoEn — built by Wombat Tech, but the catalogue, the subscription and its billing belong to the bookshop behind the project. Subscriber payment data does not pass through Wombat Tech.
  • Advertising and analytics — none of the three web applications includes advertising, analytics services or third-party trackers.

Dope Wars 1943 — app-specific policy

Dope Wars 1943 (App ID: net.wombattech.dopewars1943) is a single-player game. All gameplay is offline; no internet connection is required to play.

  • Local storage only — saves, high scores, achievements and settings are stored exclusively on your device, using the Hive database library.
  • Ads — the free version shows interstitial ads between game sessions, never during gameplay. A short rewarded ad to reveal market prices is optional. Ads are served by Google AdMob.
  • Premium upgrade — a one-time in-app purchase (“Wombat Premium”, $1.99) removes all ads permanently. No other purchases exist, and Premium gives no gameplay advantage.
  • No pay-to-win — no ad or purchase provides in-game currency, items or any gameplay advantage.
  • Uninstall removes everything — all locally stored data is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Information we collect

  • Website — none. wombattech.net has no forms, no accounts and no analytics.
  • Web applications — only what each account needs in order to work, as described above.
  • Games — no personal data. We may receive anonymous, aggregated diagnostics such as crash reports, which cannot identify you.
  • Cross-app tracking — we do not use advertising identifiers to track you across applications.

Third-party services

  • Google AdMob — serves ads in the free version of the games. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address and ad interaction data. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Google Play and the App Store — distribution and in-app purchases. Their privacy policies apply to transactions.
  • Firebase Crashlytics — anonymous crash reports for the games.
  • JustWatch — streaming availability data displayed in LaVeoEn.
  • The bookshop behind LoLeoEn — owns the catalogue, the subscription and its billing.

Payments and subscriptions

In-app purchases in the games are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. The LoLeoEn subscription is processed by the bookshop behind the project. In either case we never see or store your payment details: card numbers, billing addresses or similar.

Minors

Two different situations apply, and they should not be confused:

  • The mobile games are rated 18+ and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from minors through them.
  • Nivelar is designed for teenagers and is used in a school context. For that reason it requires no personal data from a minor: an account consists of a username and a practice history. Schools and families access a student’s progress through the school’s own account.

If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data storage and security

Game progress is stored on your device; we do not keep game data on our servers. If you uninstall a game, that progress is lost unless the platform (Google Play or iCloud) provides a backup.

For the web applications, account and progress data is stored on each application’s servers and is accessible only through the account.

Your rights

  • Request access to the data we hold about you
  • Request its correction or deletion
  • Opt out of personalised advertising in the games, through your device settings or by purchasing Premium
  • Opt out of anonymous diagnostics, by writing to us

If you are located in the European Economic Area or in California, you have additional rights over your personal data. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes are published on this page with a new date. Continued use of our products after a change constitutes acceptance.
